Clubs and Organisations
As well the Twinning Association (ABAI - Association Buxéene pour les Amités
Internationales) Boissy has more than 40 other organisations and clubs.
Some of the sports clubs are:
- The Basketball club started in 2006. It has some 20 members
- The Badminton club
- The Table Tennis club which meets 5 times each week
- The Martial Arts club
- The Gymnastics club which meets 4 times each week
- The
Tennis club has two outdoor courts and one indoor court.
- The
Football club has 6 teams for ages from 13 to veteran.
- The cycle club
has 35 members and meets every Sunday morning for a three hour cycle ride
- The Volleyball club - plays outside the town hall
- The Association of Modern Dance
- The Boules club
- The Yoga club which meets 6 times each week
- the Rambling club meets every Sunday morning for a half day walk local to Boissy.
Once a month they travel up to half an hour outside Boissy for their walk.
Many of these clubs meet at the Salle du Jeu de Paume in Rue Albert Batteux.
Non-sporting clubs and associations include:
- The Veterans and Victims of War Association. They organise several social functions
each year.
- The Mushroom club. They organise "mushroom" walks.
- The Senior Citizens club meets 2 afternoons each week for table games and refreshments.
Once a month they organise a visit or a trip.
- The Esperanto club
- The Model Aeroplane club
