The centre of Boissy where you will find La Salle aux Anneaux - a communal hall in the Place
de la Marie. The name comes from the rings in the wall that were used to tie up horses.
It has been rebuilt with exposed beams. Very close by is:
The Town Hall

The Church
|
and its interior
|
|
|
|
The Shops

The wooden statue in Rue de Châtres

- The Bois de Baville at the western edge of the village where there are many pleasant
paths including Le Chemin des Processions along which pilgrims used to walk to the church
in Saint Sulpice de Favières
- A short distance to the north west of Boissy is the village of Saint Yon

with the grave of Maurice Morel who invented the safety shoe. His nickname was
"Roi du bout dur" (King of the hard toe cap)

- 3 km. southwest of Boissy on the other side of the Bois de Baville is the village of Saint
Sulpice de Favières. It has a magnificent cathedral where the pilgrims went in honour of
the Virgin Mary. The gargoyles could have served as models for those in the Notre Dame in
Paris
|
|
and nearby a house where Victor Hugo was not born!
